Separatrix collects no data. No account, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising. The developer receives no personal data from the app.
Nothing. Separatrix contains no analytics or tracking, shows no ads, and requires no account or sign-in. Its systems, presets and settings are kept on your iPad and are not sent to us or to anyone else.
Only Discover, the gallery’s online catalog, fetches anything. It talks to systems.separatrix.ch and to no other host, and only when you open Discover or download a system: it fetches the catalog’s index, a system’s picture and the system’s file. Each is a plain HTTPS request with no cookies, no credentials and no identifier. As for any web request, the host, Cloudflare, sees your IP address.
The Full Version is a one-time purchase made through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the transaction and your payment details; Separatrix never receives or stores any payment information. The app learns from Apple whether the Full Version is unlocked, and when the app was first downloaded, to count the 14-day trial. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
To know when the 14-day trial ends, the app keeps the trial’s start, and the latest time it has seen so that setting the clock back does not reopen an ended trial, on your device. Neither is sent anywhere.
If you connect a MIDI controller, the app reads its messages on your iPad, while the app is on screen. They are not sent anywhere.
A system can carry a reference and an application note. Their keys, Ref and App note, open the page (a DOI link or a publisher’s page) in your browser, whose own policies apply. The same holds for the links on this website, such as the one to The Analog Thing’s site: they open in your browser, and the other site’s own policies apply. A PDF you export and a system file you share go only where you send them.
None. Separatrix includes no third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, advertising networks or trackers.
separatrix.ch is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no scripts, fonts or other resources from third parties. As for any web request, Cloudflare sees the IP address of your request.
Separatrix collects no data from anyone, including children.
